The Rust Belt Neighborhood Development Corporation The Rust Belt Neighborhood Development Corporation

The Rust Belt Neighborhood Development Corporation is a 501 (c)(3) organization is a multifaceted neighborhood development organization launched in 2020 to catalyze strategic investment in neighborhoods throughout the Rust Belt region. When we say community development, we mean economic empowerment, mentoring the youth, advancing educational opportunities, eliminating blight, placemaking, and improving the health outcomes of community members.

Our current focus is the west side of Dayton, Ohio that has suffered disproportionately due to failed public policy, hyper-segregation, discriminatory housing practices, and chronic disinvestment. We utilize GIS and mapping data to address racial inequality and spatial inequality. One of our entry level goals is to improve health outcomes through the built environment, combat health disparities that have correlations to a lack of access to quality health/wellness facilities, lack of access to quality parks, and pervasive food deserts.
